Long Queues At Chick-fil-A S’pore’s Newly-Opened Outlet & What To Expect Before You Head Down

First person in queue at 9pm the night before

A Chick-fil-A PR rep told 8days.sg that the very first person in line arrived at 9pm on 10 Dec, the night before the grand opening. By the time the doors opened at 10am the next morning, the queue outside Bugis+ was already snaking through multiple holding zones set up for crowd control. The outlet occupies the ground floor unit formerly taken up by clothing brand Pull & Bear.

Free bottled water handed out

Despite the seemingly daunting queue, things were calm and well-organised. Chick-fil-A staff were spotted handing out bottled water to those waiting — a small but very welcome touch.

Fans came in cow costumes

The highlight of our morning? Spotting a whole herd of “cows” — fans dressed in cow onesies as a nod to Chick-fil-A’s cheeky “Eat Mor Chikin” mascots. Very on brand. 

To keep things smooth inside, diners are ushered in small groups at a time, so no frantic rushing the moment the doors open.

What’s the queue like right now (12 Dec)?

According to Chick-fil-A’s PR rep, the queue remained steady throughout opening day, but it moved quickly. On average, there were fewer than 100 people in line at any point. The average wait was about 45 minutes for dine-in, and 20 to 30 minutes for takeaways. 

As for today (12 Dec), the earliest fan showed up at around 8am this morning. Queue times are expected to be about 45 minutes to an hour for dine-in, and 30 minutes for takeaways. 

What to expect once you’re inside

Once you’re in, you’ll find a bright, casual space that can seat up to 104 diners. There’s a mix of booth and table seating, along with a long communicable running down the centre for big groups. 

You’ll also spot a mural filled with Singapore-inspired details, plus an outline of the island mapped out across the ceiling. 

There are two ways to order — either through the classic manned counters or the self-ordering kiosks. 

What’s on the menu:

Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, from $6.80 

The brand’s classic toasted-bun-and-chicken combination, topped with two dill pickle slices. Prefer some heat? There’s a spicy version too. Make it a meal with waffle fries and a soft drink for $11.80. Milkshakes are $6.90 each, available in cookies & cream, chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. 

Chick-fil-A Deluxe Sandwich, from $8

The deluxe version comes with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato. For a punchier option, opt for the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich ($8.10). Make it a meal for $13. 

Grilled Chicken Sandwich, from $9.50 

A lighter, grilled option served on a multigrain brioche bun. The meal option goes for $14.50. 

Lighter bites

Nuggets start from $6.90, while the Cobb Salad ($12.50) comes with sliced nuggets or grilled chicken, mixed greens, corn, cheese, a hard-boiled egg, and tomatoes. Dressings include Avocado Lime Ranch and Light Balsamic Vinaigrette. 

Many sauces to choose from

You can ask for unlimited dips, including the classic Chick-fil-A sauce, Honey Mustard, Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, Garden Herb Ranch, and Barbeque. There’s also a Singapore-exclusive Spicy Chili Sauce for those who need their spice fix.
