Cybersecurity Manager Of 16 Years Quits Job To Become Hawker At Nasi Lemak By Brown
Why did the 44-year-old give up a cushy job to run his lemongrass chicken nasi lemak stall solo?
For 16 years, Melvyn Brown built a career in cybersecurity, holding managerial positions in IT audit, data security, cybersecurity and risk management across the banking, insurance and public sectors.
Today, instead of managing cyber threats and security risks, the 44-year-old spends his mornings frying chicken and serving nasi lemak from a stall at Golden Mile Food Centre.
The founder of Nasi Lemak By Brown left the corporate world at the end of 2024 and opened his hawker business in March this year.
