A rat was spotted running inside an East–West MRT line train in Singapore over the weekend, with videos of passengers lifting their feet quickly going viral online. Following the incident, SMRT Corporation said pest control measures at train stations and depots will be intensified, and reminded commuters not to eat or drink on trains or in stations as food scraps may attract pests.
