He Sniffed Her Hair? Man Gets Too Close To Michelle Yim, 70, At Dinner Event, Leaving Her Visibly Startled

Some people may not realise it, but celebs do need their personal space too. 

Recently, it was reported that Hong Kong actress Michelle Yim was allegedly harassed by a man at a dinner banquet.

In a circulating clip, the 70-year-old star was seated at a table in a Chinese restaurant when a man in a white shirt began getting uncomfortably close to her.

He repeatedly approached her to talk and, at one point, rested his hand on her shoulder while leaning in extremely close. He also appeared to sniff her hair as he was seen continuing to inch towards Michelle.

The actress appeared visibly uncomfortable, to say the least. She kept her head down, avoided eye contact, brushed back her hair, and shifted away in her seat in an apparent attempt to create some distance between herself and the man.

Eventually, she put her palms together in a polite gesture that seemed to signal refusal, after which the man finally walked away.

After the video surfaced online, many netizens expressed sympathy for Michelle and criticised the man's conduct.

Many condemned him for being "rude" and said he was "clearly trying to take advantage of the situation".

Others also underscored the importance of respecting people's personal boundaries while praising Michelle for handling the unwelcome advance with composure, grace, and emotional maturity.
