If you’ve been scrolling on Chinese social media platforms like Xiaohongshu or Weibo, you might have noticed a recent quirky, but super hilarious trend. 

Online users are now using photos of Kris Jenner as their profile pics. 

Why, you might ask? By using her image as a profile picture, many are treating it as a kind of good luck charm to manifest success and wealth. After all, the 70-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family has a reputation as an incredibly successful businesswoman and momager to her famous brood.

Dubbed the “Empress Dowager” by Chinese netizens, Kris’ headshot has become a way for users to project their hopes that their hard work will pay off.

To make things even funnier, multiple variations of the same photo have popped up, with users customising it to fit their jobs — from Kris in a construction helmet to a nurse’s uniform, holding a paintbrush, and even all suited up for the tech bros.

One netizen quipped: "I’ve already changed my desktop wallpaper to Kris Jenner. You may hate them, you may criticise them, but tell me, don’t you still want to be like them?"

The trend has left many in stitches, with some saying that scrolling through a continuous stream of circular Kris Jenner profile pics gave them the biggest laugh they’ve had in a while.
