Meet The ‘Justin Bieber Of India’ Who Shot To Fame Because Of His Hairdo & Reality TV Appearance
There is a new Bieber in town, and he doesn’t even sing ‘Baby’.
Meet Suraj Chavan, 30, who has been dubbed the "Justin Bieber of India" because he sports the same hairdo (yes, the infamous Bieber flop) that the Canadian pop star’s did when he shot to fame in the early 2010s.
Suraj first built his following by posting raw, unscripted videos on social media.
Think casual challenges and exaggerated reactions. Today, he boasts over 2.7 million followers on Instagram.
Suraj’s popularity soared when he appeared and won the fifth season of Bigg Boss Marathi, the Indian version of Big Brother.
Riding the momentum, Suraj has since made the leap into acting. His most recent role was in the romantic drama Zapuk Zupuk (2025).
Born in Maharashtra and raised in the small town of Modhave in Baramati, Suraj’s backstory is anything but glossy. Orphaned at a young age, he grew up taking responsibility for his five sisters.
But sorry, ladies, Suraj is off the market. He recently tied the knot, marrying his childhood sweetheart, Sanjana Gophane, on November 29, 2025.
