“Designed as an everyday, go-to Peranakan café and bakery”
The 54-seater will offer local delights such as nasi lemak, nyonya laksa, prawn mee, kueh pie tee and buah keluak pork ribs. Tay Su-Lyn, Creative Director of Violet Oon Singapore, says: “Bibik Violet is an entirely new concept. It’s designed as an everyday, go-to Peranakan café and bakery. It is a more casual and approachable space where diners can enjoy comforting dishes. In the Peranakan kitchen, “bibik” is the aunty who knows her way around the pots, pans, and all the stories in between. Bibik Violet is our tribute to that spirit — warm, wise, and always ready with something delicious”. Prices of dishes are not confirmed at press time.

Margarine-roasted kopi and toast
Kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs, hae bee hiam toast, paired with kopi and teh are also highlights. If it’s dessert you want, there’s orange sugee cake and assorted nyonya kueh.

Su-Lyn adds that the "traditional kopi” here is “roasted with sugar and margarine for a deep, robust flavour, a tribute to the everyday kopi culture beloved across Singapore’s kopitiams”.
Bibik Violet is at Temasek Shophouse, 28 Orchard Road, #01-05, S238832
