Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy tied the knot in what was dubbed as the ‘wedding of the century’ in Shanghai yesterday (Oct 8).

Boasting an impressive guest list of 527 attendees, there were numerous famous faces spotted in the crowd. Among the star-studded guests in attendance were Mark Chao, Gao Yuanyuan, Ruby Lin, Ady An, Kiko Mizuhara, Kevin Tsai, Lin Chi-ling and Shu Qi. The bride and groom’s respective entourages were also filled with star-power, with Li Bing Bing and Ni Ni among those spotted in lilac gowns and Li Yundi and Edison Lin seen donning sharp suits.

The red carpet affair took over an hour, with some dubbing the ceremony the Chinese equivalent of the Oscars. The pair walked in looking as though they stepped out of a fairytale, with Angelababy in a flowing white gown and the bespoke tiara her husband reportedly commissioned for her.

The happy couple shed tears while exchanging vows, and Huang Xiaoming’s romantic declaration of, “If I spoil you (enough), nobody else can snatch you away!” elicited smiles and tears all around.

With every wedding comes the bridal throw and Lin Chi-ling the lucky one who caught the bouquet this time. While she is reportedly still single, if superstitions ring true, we may just hear the familiar toll of wedding bells for her soon.
