Xu Bin On His First Star Awards Acting Nom: “It’s A Pity [Aloysius Pang] Is Not Here To Share The Joy With Me”

It’s Xu Bin’s time to shine. After more than a decade in showbiz, the actor has finally earned an acting nomination at the Star Awards. For his role in Doppelganger, the 30-year-old is in the running for Best Supporting Actor at the awards in April, where he is up against the likes of veteran actor Chen Shucheng and perennial nominee Andie Chen.

But Xu Bin doesn't think the wait to score his first acting nom was that long. He may have gotten his first brush with fame as a contestant in the second season of Campus SuperStar in 2007, but the 118 star clarifies that he only started acting in 2012. According to Xu Bin, seven years as an actor “isn’t too long or too short” to score an acting nom. We have to agree with the actor. And it's not like he is a stranger to the Star Awards podium. Might we remind you that since 2013, Xu Bin has won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes Award four times.
