A TikToker who uploaded a video of her car burnt to a crisp has gone viral for the reason you’d least expect: her Stanley cup was the only thing that survived the blaze.
Danielle Lettering, who lives in the US, uploaded the video earlier this week and it’s gone immensely viral, racking up 86.2mil views and counting. While she showed the devastating remains of her vehicle, one thing stood out: a bronze coloured Stanley cup, a popular tumbler which had already earned viral status for its ability to keep cold drinks cold for a long time (even celebs like Adele are fans).
Everything else, including the steering wheel and other parts of the car interior, was reduced to a devastating charred, sooty mess. But not only was her Stanley tumbler completely intact after a fire, it still had ice in it as she shook the cup. While many TikTokers have put it to the test to see just how long it can keep drinks cold for, surely Danielle’s video takes the cake.
In an even more surprising turn of events, her video caught the eye of Stanley’s CEO, who has offered to not only send Danielle more Stanley cups and tumblers, he also offered to buy her a new car. Yes, really. The drinkware company has confirmed that they’re in the process of getting a new car to her, and Danielle will share updates on her TikTok as well.
Despite a handful of naysayers, most comments were in awe of not only the company’s incredible response, but also just how tough the Stanley cup is.
