Some Concerts & Business Events Will Be Resuming In Singapore Soon. Here’s What You Need To Know

It has been months of Zoom conferences, virtual seminars, online gigs and increased screen time all round. But some of us could soon be attending business events and concerts, if these safe reopening plans and pilot projects go well.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) today (Sep 7) announced that it will accept applications to hold business events of up to 250 attendees from Oct 1. Just last week, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and the National Arts Council of Singapore (NAC) revealed that they’ll be piloting small-scale performances of up to 50 attendees.

These are part of the gradual resumption of activities in Singapore. Since mid-July, hotels have resumed bookings for stays and attractions have reopened. Rules for religious services have been relaxed since early August. All these were of course carried out with meticulously planned measures to prevent the community spread of Covid-19, and it’ll be no different for concerts and business events.
