Starting from Mar 20, more than 600 hours of curated Mediacorp content will be available on pan-regional video-streaming operator Viu — to more than 41 million monthly active users in Indonesia, Hongkong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
The Mediacorp catalogue include Chinese serials such as the Carrie Wong-Lawrence Wong rom-com My One in a Million; the social satire anthology A World of Difference; Seasons 3 and 4 of the police procedural C.L.I.F.; and the social media-themed drama All Around You, featuring the Star Search 2019 winner Zhang Zetong.
There are English programmes, too. Among them the varsity-set drama Faculty, starring Cheryl Chitty Tan (Derek) and Shane Pow; and the Pierre Png-led vigilante thriller Zero Calling. In the factual category, there’s Food Heroes, the CNA-produced docu-series about Singapore’s culinary pioneers.
Viu dropped the first 300 hours of Mediacorp content today, while the remaining half will roll out in the next two weeks.
The shows will carry English, Bahasa Melayu, Traditional Chinese and Thai subtitle options. They are now available on the Viu mobile app, which can be downloaded for free on App Store, Google Play, and selected smart TVs; as well as on the web at www.viu.com.
