Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams are the executive producers behind this highly-anticipated genre-bending/blending series based on Matt Ruff’s novel of the same name. Jonathan Majors stars as Atticus Freeman, a Korean War veteran who returns to 1950s Chicago to search for his father (Michael K Williams) who vanishes after writing him a mysterious letter. Joined by his uncle (Courtney B Vance) and a childhood friend (Jurnee Smollett), Atticus hits the road where they encounter nasty monsters (inspired by horror novelist HP Lovercraft) and the racial terrors of Jim Crow America.
