Historically diverse (two Asian Best Director nominees!), hostless (again!) and held under strict COVID-19 conditions (wait, face masks not mandatory?) at the Dolby Theatre and Union Station, this year’s Oscars promises to be…interesting. Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland is expected to walk away with the major awards but the Best Actor (Riz Ahmed vs Anthony Hopkins vs Chadwick Boseman) and Best Actress (Frances McDormand vs Carey Mulligan) races will be as tight as a dolphin's butt. Good luck with the office pool. (FYI: Nomadland premieres on Disney+ on Friday.)
