Rebecca Lim is crossing The Bridge again.
She will reprise her role of the brilliant but socially maladjusted Detective Serena Teo in the second season of the murder mystery The Bridge.
Produced by HBO Asia and video streaming service Viu, The Bridge is an adaptation of a 2011 Danish-Swedish drama, which has also been remade in the US, UK, and Russia.
In the first season, low EQ Singaporean cop Teo (Lim) teams up with her Malaysian counterpart (Bront Palarae) to crack a heinous murder case that happened on the Tuas bridge.
Season 2, which will pick up a year after the events in Season 1, concerns a slain Indonesian family onboard a Singapore-registered yacht which has drifted ashore in Johor.
And guess who’s assigned to the case?
The production on the 10-ep season is expected to start soon (our sources say sometime in November) for a simulcast on HBO Asia and Viu in early 2020.
At press time, Lim is the only actor returning. A Viu spokesperson tells 8 DAYS that it’s still “too early” to reveal the other cast members. Watch this space!
