Starting from Jan 30, Southeast Asia’s leading video-on-demand platform HOOQ is the latest streaming service — after HBO Go and tvN Movies — to be available via MeWATCH (previously Toggle).
To access the full suite of HOOQ’s Subscription Video-on-Demand TV shows and movies, you can choose between the recurring package at $5.98/month or the yearly package at $2.25/month (prepayment of $26.98). With the latter option, you save $44.78 overall.
HOOQ subscribers on meWATCH can expect a diverse line-up of shows like the latest seasons of The Flash and Supegirl as well as HOOQ Originals like She’s A Terrorist And I Love Her, an eight-part dark comedy series about a man (Zombiepura’s Haresh Tilani) who enters into a sham marriage with an extremist.
They can also check out the world’s first online French Film Festival (Jan 16-Feb 16), which showcases 11 full-length features and 16 short films. Further down the road, in March, look out for the premiere of Wet Season, Anthony Chen’s Golden Horse Award-winning drama starring Yeo Yann Yann and Koh Jia Ler.
In a separate deal with HOOQ, 275 hours of Mediacorp English and Chinese-language content will be made available to over 80 million HOOQ subscribers in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore. The shows they can catch include The Little Nyonya, Code of Law, Incredible Tales, Miss Adventures, and Food Secrets.
The meWATCH app is available on iOS and Android devices. Download the free app at AppStore and Google Play. To subscribe to HOOQ, click here.
