Mediacorp is launching Lil Wild, an original 3D animated kids series on Sept 3. It’s also the first locally-produced animal-based animation.
A special preview was shown on Channel 5 right after the National Day Parade Morning Parade on Aug 9 The half-hour series premieres on Sept 3 (Thur), with new episodes airing on Thursdays and Fridays, 5.30pm, okto on 5. It will also be streamed on meWATCH.
Conceptualised and created by Mediacorp in collaboration with Infinite Studios, Lil Wild follows an unlikely crew of ‘tweenage’ zoo animals — Rara the elephant, Wobi the Chinese alligator, Meep the white tiger, Kokeko the otter, and Dil the blue crow pigeon — as they keep themselves and the wacky resident creatures out of trouble. Accompanied by Suzie the zookeeper, the gang will embark on a series of life-altering adventures.
Not only will kids get to learn interesting wild life fun facts, they will also learn to deal with real-life challenges as experienced by Rara, Wobi, Meep, Kokeko, and Dil.
There are also plans to launch Lil Wild musical special, children’s books, colouring and sticker albums as well as dubbed versions of the show in other languages.
