John Singleton's 'Snowfall' Examines The Crack Crisis In 1980s LA

It's snowing drugs in LA!

If you’re suffering from Narcos withdrawal (hang in there for a few more days), then Snowfall, the gritty drama from Boyz n the Hood director John Singleton should tide you over.

Set in 1980s LA, Snowfalls follows Franklin Saint (British newbie Damson Idris), a black kid selling crack to escape from poverty. His coming-of-age/budding entrepreneurial story also involves a CIA agent peddling dope to raise funds for a covert war in Nicaragua, and a wrestler-turned-sidekick to the daughter of a Mexican cartel boss.

Think Traffic meets The Wire, with a dash of Moonlight. Addictive stuff.

Watch it on: FX, Singtel TV Ch 310 & StarHub Ch 507; Fox +
