When Yasminne Cheng saw the first episode of HBO’s award-hoarding series Game of Thrones way back in 2011, the Class95 jock wasn’t impressed by the fantasy medieval saga. Not one iota. In fact, she found it a tad boring.  “A friend raved to me when it first came out but I think he oversold it like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread,” Cheng tells 8 DAYS. “It wasn’t. I felt it was slow and draggy, and there were way too many characters and names to remember, which made it confusing. And there was too much gore!”

While she was turned off by the bloodshed and brutality, she was by enchanted by the love story of Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo (“Yummy!”) and Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen — and them dragons. She followed the show religiously for the first two seasons but when “life got the better of [her]”, she had trouble keeping up with the events in Westeros. Alas, they went their separate ways. Like Jamie Lannister (Nicolaj Coster-Waldau) walking away from sister/lover Cersei (Lena Headey) in the Season 7 finale.

Flash forward to last year when Cheng finally set aside time to catch up five seasons’ worth of political debauchery, wanton destruction, and wrangling dragons and. A fan is reborn.  And now she’s ready for the six episodes of the eighth and final season, premiering Apr 15. “I don’t think I could wait till all the eps are out this time around,” she adds. “The anticipation is killing me especially when you know this is the finale. So it will probably be one ep at a time from the comfort of my home on HBO Go on Toggle.”

Court's in session: Class95's Yasminne Cheng with the Night King and his White Walkers.

In March, when we hear that a replica of the Iron Throne will be displayed at the Mediacorp campus, we ask Cheng if she’s, ahem, game, to dress up as a GOT character to the scare the bejesus.  Ever and always a trouper, she agrees to play along. So is she going as Daenerys Targaryen? we wonder. Nope. Cooler, she’s channelling the Night Queen — you know, the wife of Night King, the Big Bad that the feuding factions are ganging up against in the season finale.

See for yourself in the video below on how Cheng was transformed into the Night Queen. Elsewhere, we ask her what her most memorable GOT moments and how she’s preparing to deal with the withdrawal symptoms when the show airs its final episode on May 20. Just so you know: This story contains spoilers. Lots of them. Deal with it.
