Bars and clubs are among the handful of businesses that will not be resuming operations when Phase 2 kicks in on June 19. However, if you’re craving a tipple or two outside, there are still options at certain F&B outlets that will be welcoming customers again. While you won’t be able to pop into your favourite speakeasy for drinks yet, these F&B outlets with restaurant licenses will be able to welcome you with drinks and food in Phase 2 post-circuit breaker.
Of course, dining in at restaurants will feel a little different from what we’re used to, pre-Covid-19. Under Phase 2 regulations, no more than five people per group are allowed to dine in together, tables will spaced 1m apart, and no alcohol will be served after 10.30pm. These are just some of the measures that restaurants have to put in place for safe distancing purposes. So while the F&B industry does its part to adhere to guidelines, don’t forget to do your part as a diner (or as a socially responsible person, basically). If you’re heading out for a meal or to grab after-WFH drinks, remember to wear your mask, sanitise/wash your hands, and keep 1m away from other groups of diners.
