Balestier Heritage Trail
Think Balestier is all about bak kut teh or chicken rice? Think again. Some 30 new heritage sites have been newly minted in Balestier to shine the light on its contributions to Singapore’s healthcare history. Tour the former wards of Tan Tock Seng Hospital, as well as an an 18-storey mixed-use building completed in 1986. The Balestier trails are divided into three routes, including former country homes, institutions, clubs and associations and public housing estates, allowing Singaporeans to discover more about the history of their country.
