Chakras, reiki, aura readings, crystals and oracle card readings. Think these belong to an episode of The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina? Think again. Holistic and wellness treatments have been growing in popularity around the world, like in Australia where holistic centres and conventions have been gaining ground. This weekend (Nov 23-25), the Love and Light Festival, a wellness and holistic extravaganza, will see almost 20 practitioners convene at Marina Bay Sands to share how these various practices can heal the body, mind and soul. Spiritual and holistic merch like crystals, aromatherapy oils and candles will also be on sale. If you think it all sounds a little religious, festival founder Hui Ling, 46, assures us that holistic healing is not tied to any religion, but instead, focuses on energies and promotes spiritual health, mental clarity and physical well-being. We find out more from Hui Ling about alternative healing practices. Like, is it all really as hippie-dippie as it seems?
