Watch: Cirque Du Soleil Kooza Performers Guess The Singlish Terms

No, ‘kancheong spider’ is not the name of a wrestling move.

We recently headed to Perth to give Cirque du Soleil performers a crash course in Singlish before Kooza lands at the Big Top tent at Marina Bay on July 12. Here’s how they fared.

A one-minute Kooza cheat-sheet:

The circus is coming to town once more — and so are the clowns. Nah, nothing like the sinister clown attacks that hogged headlines. You’ll LOL at the clowns from Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza. The show, which gets its name from the Sanskrit word for box, is also a treasure trove of entertaining stunts, including the death-defying highwire bicycles and the Wheel of Death, performed by a cast of 50 acrobats, musicians and actors.
