Tokidoki-Themed Sakura Display At Gardens By The Bay From Mar 5 — Free Entry For Orange & Blue CHAS Card Holders For A Limited Time
Ready for another trip to faux Japan?

Nope, we still can’t travel to Japan for Sakura season. But yes, we can still see pretty cherry blossoms in Singapore at this year’s Sakura display at Gardens by the Bay.
The Sakura display is on at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome from Mar 5 to Apr 3, and this year, things are looking a little more kawaii — it’s a Tokidoki-themed display happening for the first time in seven years.

Besides cute sakura selfies, the cherry and peach blossoms shindig will also feature a display of Japanese carp streamers, or koinobori, that’s on loan from the Japanese Association, Singapore. There are also other traditional Japanese features such as a giant box with marumado (or traditional round Japanese windows) — so you can snap photos and pretend you’re actually in Japan. You know what they say, fake it till you make it… to Japan on a VTL someday.
A host of cultural programmes will be on as well on Mar 5, 12 and 19 — expect koto and erhu performances, Japanese folk dance performances, tea ceremony workshops and ikebana workshops (separate charges may apply).
Lower income Singaporeans will get complimentary entry to the Flower Dome from Mar 5-11. To redeem a Flower Dome ticket, individuals may present an orange or blue CHAS card at the Friends of the Garden centre.
Holders of the ComCare Long Term Assistance Scheme (aka the Public Assistance Scheme) card, the Development Disability Registry card, Persons with Disability card and CARA e-card can continue to enjoy free entry to Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and Floral Fantasy.
