Having a ruff time and in need of a staycation… with your fur kid? There’s a way to unwind on a mini getaway, while making sure your beloved four-legged fur-iend isn't left behind. Behold, a promotion for a staycation that caters to pets.
InterContinental Singapore, which started accepting pets since last year, has rolled out a pet-friendly staycation promotion. Room rates start at $350++ per night in a Heritage Room or Suite for the Paw-fect Staycation package, which admittedly is more than what you'd pay for, er, an all-human staycation (a stay in a similar room without pets starts from $300++ per night).
But here's what you get with the Paw-fect Staycation deal. It includes a welcome amenity basket, plush bed, an exclusive in-room dining menu and other treats — for your pets, that is.
Humans, you’ll get breakfast for two, complimentary wi-fi and parking, 25 per cent savings at The Lobby Lounge, Man Fu Yuan and in-room dining. There’s also $50 worth of dining credits that’s included in the package, which you can choose to use on yourself, or splurge on a feast fit for the king or queen of the household. Yes, of course we're talking about your pet.
While pets are not allowed in the hotel restaurants, you still can pamper your pooch with room service. There’s a total of five dishes on the in-room dining pet menu, including The Standards (a bowl of steamed rice, peas, carrots, zucchini and minced chicken breast), a beef and pumpkin stew (ground beef, diced pumpkin, green peas and brown rice stew), and even a Surf and Turf for pets (steamed rice, peas, kidney beans, minced chicken and minced prawn).
Up to two pets are allowed per staycation. Do note that your furry pals are not allowed in the hotel gym, swimming pool area, club lounge and F&B outlets. The Paw-fect Staycation package is valid for stays until Sep 23.
InterContinental Singapore is at 80 Middle Road. More info at https://singapore.intercontinental.com/offers/paw-fect-staycation.
