Shopee Fashion Fair Popup
Shopee’s fashion fair pop-up at hip café Coexist Coffee Co’s Paya Lebar outpost will have a curated selection of best fashion buys at discounted prices from brands such as Adidas and Melissa. If you see something you like, scan a QR code to purchase online. The icing on the cake: Shopee vouchers, shopping sprees and other prizes to be won when you shop, dine or take part giveaways at the event.

Chivas Presents: I Rise, We Rise
Taking over another hipster café is Chivas’ two-week-long pop-up at Chye Seng Huat Hardware in celebration of the refreshed look of the Chivas 12 and the new Chivas Asia brand ambassador, Blackpink’s Lisa. While the K-pop superstar may not be there, there’s still plenty to look forward to. Sip on tasty cocktails at the pop-up cocktail bar helmed by homegrown bartenders from acclaimed bars such as Sago House, Junior the Pocket Bar and No Sleep Club. Look forward to live performances from DJs and homegrown dancers, digital games, an NFT art showcase and NFT talks for the NFT-curious or clueless.

Shinigami: The Awakening
Toy collectors will be geeking out at this exhibition presented by BLAXK by ActionCity. Shinigami refers to an iconic character borne out of a previous collab between established homegrown toy designers, Wetworks and Clogtwo. The exhibition at the premium toy gallery will showcase large-scale paintings of Shinigami by the duo, alongside previous toy releases. Among the highlights of the show is the debut of Shinigami: The Awakening— BLAXK Lotus, a highly-anticipated collectible figure that will be launched exclusively at the exhibition.

Free ice cream at Uniqlo Orchard Central
To sweeten your shopping experience at Uniqlo’s Orchard Central flagship store this weekend, the Japanese retail giant is doling out free scoops of ice cream from artisanal ice cream makers Apiary. But first, you’ll have to purchase at least one U Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-shirt — a Singaporean fashion staple in its own right — in a single receipt on May 13 to 15, between 2pm and 8pm. There are five flavours to choose from, all inspired by Uniqlo’s summer collection, so feel free to match your tee with your freebie. Limited to one redemption per customer.

Cats of The World Purrzar
Cat lovers, here’s a weekend market that’ll leave you feline good. Shop up a storm at the Cat of The World Purrzar on May 28-29 at community space Crane @ Robertson which will raise funds for the Cat Welfare Society. Expect to snag quaint items, from jewellery and pet food to ceramics and artworks, or pick up a new skill to make your own cat-themed crafts at one of the workshops. You’ll also be able to get up close and purr-sonal with the feline creatures themselves at a cat adoption drive, or with other fellow pawrents and their furkids (cats are allowed at the event, of course).

Sustainability Design Showcase Exhibition
Eco-consciousness takes centrestage about this pop-up showcase exhibiting the works of 12 Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design recent graduates. What better way to learn about sustainability than an exhibition and workshops highlighting how it affects our daily lives — from healing during the pandemic to the pressing problem of food waste.
When: May 6 to June 30, 9am-9pm on weekdays, 11am-5pm on weekends and public holidays.
