These Are Fab New Stores & Pop-Ups In Singapore To Check Out, From Kydra’s Flagship Store To Love, Bonito’s Pop-Up Café

Shopping offline is cool again, with a slew of stores opening this month, from local faves to cool boutiques.

#1: Kydra unveils its first flagship store
Homegrown activewear label Kydra has been amassing fans among the fitness community here in the past five years it’s been an online store.

And it’s a big week for these folks. Along with a brand refresh and a new collection, it’s making the leap to unveil its first brick-and-mortar flagship store, nestled in the heart of Ngee Ann City. Yes, finally, fitness fanatics will be able to see and try on their chic, easy-to-wear athleisure pieces IRL at this spanking new sleek, futuristic boutique.

Plus, there are freebies awaiting those who visit on opening week. On Aug 20 and 21, the first 300 visitors daily from 12pm to 5pm will score a free cup of coffee. The first 50 customers daily from Aug 20-26 who make a purchase in store will get a goodie bag packed with vouchers, merch and other goodies from Kydra, Absolute Cycle, Sigi Skin, An Acai Affair and more.

#2: Claude opens first store in Singapore

Elsewhere in Ngee Ann City, another new store that’ll delight fashion fiends has opened its doors.

Indonesian fashion label Claude’s first physical store in Singapore is a calming and photo-worthy 1,600 sq ft space awash in sweet pastel hues, with its wallet-friendly fast fashion pieces on display, from signature pleated pieces to edgy designs from the Everyday by Claude line that you may have spotted on influencers from Drea Chong to LA-based Chriselle Lim.

#3: Get teleported to Paris at the Love, Bonito x ShopBack pop-up café

Local label Love, Bonito is on a mission to bring a slice of Paris to Singapore, by way of a Parisian café pop-up for three days only.

From Aug 19 to 21, the fast fashion fave will see the Community Space in its Funan store transforming into a quaint, Instagrammable 20-seater café reminiscent of a French café.

Rather than croissants, visitors can savour a curated menu of desserts, including the popular Champion Bolo Bun’s first non-bolo bun offering, the French Cold Tarte, and the Museum of Ice Cream’s pink velvet cake ice cream that has yet to be released. Wash it down with a cuppa from PPP Coffee, before you shop up a storm. The pop-up is in collab with ShopBack, so purchases made via ShopBack PayLater will score you discounts. LBCommunity+ members will also enjoy discounts of up to 25 per cent (minimum spend required) when they shop in-store or online from Aug 19 to Aug 22, 12pm.

#4: & Other Stories lands in Singapore  

This isn’t just a first on our sunny shores — & Other Stories’ boutique at ION Orchard is also the Swedish brand’s first in Southeast Asia (a second store is slated to open in Raffles City next year).

Now that sister label of H&M and COS has finally brought its cool-girl threads and accessories to a physical store in Singapore, of course there’d be a string of events to celebrate its opening weekend. The sprawling 6,000 sq ft store, decked out in fantastic blooms, will have a photowall for plenty of IG-worthy moments, while local visual artist Ginette Chittick will hold live art demos on Aug 19 (3.30-4.30pm) and Aug 20 (3-5pm) to add colour to your shopping experience.
