If you’ve missed zipping down waterslides at Adventure Cove Waterpark (ACW), mark this down on your calendar: the Resorts World Sentosa attraction is set to reopen on May 12. ACW has been closed for almost one year.
To mark its return, ACW is offering reopening ticket promotions for Singapore residents — tickets range from $20 for a child ticket to $26 for an adult ticket on non-peak days, and $24 to $32 on peak days (they usually go for $30 for a child ticket and $38 for adults). Tix are already available for booking at the RWS website, and promotional prices are valid until end June.
But before you rush down to splash around at the Whirlpool Washout or the Adventure River, there are a few things to take note.
As part of the park’s safe management measures (SMM), visitors must pre-book a visit date on the RWS website. It's operating only on certain days of the week — ACW is open Wednesday to Sunday on its opening week (May 12-16), and subsequently, every Friday to Sunday, and public holidays. During school holidays, it’s open Friday to Tuesday.
Other SMMs in place include maintaining a distance of three metres between groups when in the water, and no mingling of guests between cabanas is allowed. Guests do not have to wear masks during rides, but have to keep them on at all other times unless they’re eating or drinking. Life vests, snorkeling equipment, goggles, gloves and booties will be disinfected before and after every use as well.
