Update, Mar 19, 2020: The exhibition has been postponed until further notice due to the current Covid-19 situation. New dates have yet to be announced.

The last time a Yayoi Kusama exhibition descended on our shores at National Gallery Singapore, there were queues comparable to those at the supermarket cashier during panic-buying sprees. People waited in line for hours just for a glimpse at the 91-year-old Japanese artist’s iconic polka dotted works and the crowd-pleasing infinity mirrored room installation. That was way back in 2017, which feels like a lifetime ago.
