Phoon Huat has announced that it will stop using the odd/even date entry system at all 14 Phoon Huat and Redman stores from today (June 2), as Singapore transitions into Phase 1 after the circuit breaker. Yup, you no longer need to make the trip down to stock up on baking supplies according to the last digit of your identification number.

The baking supplies chain, which adopted the odd/even dates entry system similar to certain wet markets in Singapore on Apr 25, has decided to lift entry restrictions “because our queue is getting shorter and the current situation is easing up”, it said in a Facebook post. During the circuit breaker, long queues at Phoon Huat and its subsidiary chain, Redman, were a common sight islandwide.
