Didn’t score tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) that’s opening in Dempsey this August, or find the $38 ticket too pricey? Listen up 'cos MOIC Singapore is giving out free tickets over two weekends by way of an islandwide treasure hunt.

MOIC’s Golden Ticket Scavenger Hunt will be held from June 19-20 and June 26-27, where a total of four pairs of tickets will be hidden at four secret locations in Singapore. This means that there will only be one pair of tickets up for grabs per day, and they are valid for any available slot until Sep 26, 2021.

The Museum of Ice Cream in Dempsey will be the first international outpost of the utterly Instagrammable and unabashed celebration of the sweet treat. You won’t find historical artefacts in this museum, but there are 14 experiential installations, including a massive sprinkle pool and a pink and yellow jungle of 10,000 bananas.

Weekend slots in the opening month of August were snapped up within 48 hours after ticket sales started in April. But if you didn’t manage to snag those, or just love the thrill of hunting, you can try your luck at the upcoming scavenger hunt.

Before you dash out to start hunting, here are a few tips for you to strategise. The game starts at 1pm each day on June 19-20 and June 26-27. Clues will be dropped on the Museum of Ice Cream Singapore’s Instagram account — specifically on IG stories — from June 18.

The most important point to note if you’re planning to scour Singapore for those golden tickets: Keep safe and adhere to Covid-19 safe management measures. Mask up and keep a safe distance from other players you meet along the way. And no fighting — there will be staff on standby in the vicinity of the secret location to ensure things run smoothly. Sweet.
