Why settle for a feature wall you can have a feature ceiling that extends to both your living and dining spaces? In this four-room flat at SkyVille @ Dawson, the show-stopping centerpiece of the home are wood-clad walls and a feature ceiling that extends from the living room to the dining room. The end result is a cosy yet elegant living area that the homeowners, a couple in their 30s and 40s, can enjoy.

Renovations for the 893 sq ft flat cost about $50,000 and took close to three months to complete. Interior design firm Starry Homestead, which helmed a webinar at the recent Singapore Property Show, was entrusted with the job of turning the six-year-old flat into a space that was “masculine, stylish and contemporary”, according to interior designer Ryan Linardy. As such, warm wood accents and darker tones were used throughout the home.
