How To Get Your Photos On An Eatery’s Food Delivery Menu — And Win Vouchers At The Same Time

The camera eats first. Instagram or your 10-course omakase dinner didn’t happen. You know the drill by now — and you’ve got thousands of food photos in your camera roll and endless #foodporn posts to show for it. But here’s somewhere else your glorious food photo can live on: on the GrabFood menu of your favourite eatery.

Grab recently launched a GrabFood Bank campaign, and is calling for customers to create an online repository of food images for F&B merchants to use.

Not just any merchant, but small F&B businesses or family-run outfits that may not have the resources or time for fancy food photography to help boost their menus. According to Grab, restaurants with photos of their dishes get “up to a two-times increase in sales than those without visuals”.

What to do: Order your food on GrabFood, take a fab picture of the dish, post it on Instagram (post, okay, not IG story). It’s important that you hashtag #GrabFoodBank (this will signal to the restaurants that you’ve given them permission to use your image), tag @GrabFoodSG and the restaurant’s IG account.

One thing to note: you can submit photos from GrabFood merchants that do not have any menu images, such as these 13 F&B outlets:
- Chef Icon Nature Bakery (@chef_icon)
- Create Healthy Lifestyles (@createhl_sg)
- Koda’s Cafe (@kodascafe)
- My Kitchen (@mykitchensingapore)
- Nasi Ayam Sambal (Geylang Serai Market)
- NJ Cafe & Bar (@njcafebar)
- SK cafe (@skcafecp)
- Tankuku
- Taste of India Restaurant
- Tempat Makan Sha’s (@tempatmakanshas)
- WC503 Economical Rice (Ayer Rajah Food Centre)
- Xin Sheng Ngoh Hiong Prawn Cracker
- Yantra (@yantrasg)

What’s in it for you, you ask? The three best photo submissions every month will each win a $30 GrabFood voucher. At the time of writing, entries are still streaming in and no photos have yet been selected for any of the menus, so there’s still a pretty good chance that your pictures could end up on a menu soon.
