There Are BT21 Glamping Stays, Picnics & A Snoopy-Themed Snow Luge At Changi Airport This June Holidays

Reasons to go to the airport even if you’re not travelling during the June holidays.

There Are BT21 Glamping Stays, Picnics & A Snoopy-Themed Snow Luge At Changi Airport This June Holidays

Good news for parents wracking their brains for activities for the kids this June holidays: you can take the kiddos to experience winter and snow, or go on a BT21 glamping trip right here on our sunny shores. No need to fly or even queue up at ICA for new passports.

If regular hotel staycations just won’t cut it for you, there’s the option of glamping under the stars in air-conditioned comfort in one of these glamping tents at Jewel Changi Airport’s Cloud9 Piazza.

Not just any glamping tent, mind you. These are BT21-themed glampcations happening from May 27 to June 26 at Jewel Changi Airport. There are glamping tents that are adorned with everything that Line Friends and BT21 aficionados would be delighted with. Each tent accommodates up to four people. An overnight glampcation with BT21 characters will set you back $320 (Mon to Thur) or $360 (Fri to Sun).

Here’s what a BT21-themed glampcation might look like. You check in at 6pm and frolick in a mini glamping village by the HSBC Rain Vortex with tents decorated with BT21 characters (so many IG opps!), chill out in a tent in your BT21 tees that you receive with your booking (each package comes with two tees). Or you could take a jaunt around Canopy Park (each person receives one ticket with the booking). After the flurry of activity, you retire to your tent, perhaps take a shower at the Changi Lounge, and then go to sleep on one of the two queen-sized beds in your BT21 tent before checking out at 10am the next day.

Also provided in the glampcation package: a cooler box, bottled water, Bluetooth speaker, charging points, amenity kit, a single-use carpark coupon that covers your stay, and a Changi Eats $10 discount (minimum spend $50) to order grub from selected outlets in the mall.

BT21 fans who aren’t big on glamping can still luxuriate in BT21 goodness with the mall going all out with the Line Friends’ BT21-themed activities for the June holidays, whether it’s BT21-themed glamping picnics or snapping selfies with a 4.5m-tall giant inflatable BT21 guardian space robot, Van, at Level 1. More info here.

If the recent sweltering weather is getting to you — and the munchkins — a trip to Changi Airport Terminal 3 is probably a good idea. No, not to take off to a country with a cooler climate or to enjoy free air-con at the airport.

There’s a Peanuts extravaganza, The Snoopy Adventure at Changi Airport, happening at T3 from May 27 to Jul 11. Cool off in sub-zero temperatures and bask in snowfall at a double-storey Peanuts-themed snowhouse. Over here, you can enjoy a 10m-long snow luge ride, zip down a snow slide, dig snow trenches with excavators and get a selfie with a life-sized Charlie Brown ice sculpture. Sure, each pass gets one adult and one child just 20 to 25 minutes in the snowhouse, but that’s more than enough time to pretend you’re on a winter holiday somewhere else in the world.

A pass to the Peanuts Snow Hangout is available at $18 (for one adult and one child) on the iChangi app. Discounted passes are $5 with every $30 spent in a single receipt at Changi Airport or Changi Eats ($50 at supermarkets). The Peanuts Snow Hangout runs daily from 11am to 10pm on May 27 to June 26, Jul 1 to 3, and Jul 8 to 11.

If you need to thaw out after the mini winter jaunt, there are Peanuts IG-worthy spots, meet-and-greets, and collectibles to redeem in and around T3. More info here.
