You Can Now Stay Overnight At Gardens By The Bay In A Shipping Container Hotel — Prices From $450/Night For 4 Pax

Strolling around Gardens by the Bay and spot a cluster of shipping containers amid the lush greenery? Nope, it’s not a new exhibition or maintenance works going on.

It’s the location of your next staycation. Yes, you can stay overnight at Gardens by the Bay in shipping containers.

The newly launched Garden Pod is a boutique hotel made up of gleaming white shipping containers, which looks like a mega sculptural structure.

Nestled in the heart of Gardens by the Bay at the Serene Garden and just a stone’s throw from Bayfront MRT and The Meadow, the new hotel is a concept by Shipping Container Hotel, which also has outposts are at one-north and Haw Par Villa.

The Garden Pod has four duplex suites, each one spanning a sizeable 70sqm over two levels (the upper levels are made from repurposed 40-foot shipping containers).

Because the units have been positioned in a pinwheel pattern, they all offer different views of Gardens by the Bay and the surrounding Marina Bay area and do not overlook other units, offering privacy amidst the tranquility of nature.

Don’t be deceived by the shipping container concept, though — the interiors of the suite resemble a swanky new condo unit rather than an industrial shipping container.

Inside, each suite has been kitted out with amenities comparable to that of an apartment, including a living room with a TV and a kitchen with a hob, hood, microwave oven and fridge.

If you fancy a garden barbeque party, you’re in luck — the hotel also provides an outdoor electric barbeque grill (upon request), a private outdoor patio and outdoor dining table and chairs.

Each suite also has one king sized bed and one Murphy queen bed.

Prices on the website start at $450 per night, and accommodates up to four guests. Extra beds can be added for an additional cost. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am, and will be done via a virtual front desk (there is no physical front desk here).
