Do you want to win US$100,000 (S$135,160)? Then make your way down to Asia’s Got Talent Season 3 open auditions this Saturday at Blackbox Theatre, Goodman Arts Centre. Door will open from 12pm.
The one-day event is part of Asia’s Got Talent audition tour which also includes stops in Bangkok, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. On that day, AGT hosts Alan Wong and Justin Bratton will report live via AXN’s Facebook (@axnasia) page at 1pm.
The acts that made it through the auditions will move on to the judges’ auditions, which will unfold in the first five eps of the series, scheduled to premiere later this year. Following that, the successful contestants will move to the semi-finals and the final Results Show where the winning act will take home the US$100,000 grand prize.
AGT’s inaugural season winner was El Gamma Penumbra, the all-male Filipino shadow play group, while Indonesian illusionist The Sacred Riana was the Season 2 champ. Past Singaporean contestants include the tap dance act Dance Thrilogy, which made it to the Season 1 final, and The Sisters, aka Anne-Sophie and Ariane Cazaubon, who sang their way to the Season 2 semi-finals.
At press time, no word on who will be on the judging panel. The Season 1 judges were music producer David Foster, Indonesian singer Anggun, F4’s Vanness Wu and Spice Girl Melanie C. Only Foster and Anggun returned for Season 2, and they were joined by Korean rapper Jay Park.
