It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And you know what this means, right? Presents and feasting galore.

Festive shopping and feasting has been made better this year at Compass One, with new stores in the mall, fab freebies to score and prizes to be won. Indeed, you’ll find all your Christmas needs under one roof, from gifts to buy and food to feast on.

#1: Go gift shopping for family and friends (and yourself too) at these new stores

What’s Christmas without gifts? From stocking stuffers for colleagues to a thoughtful present for a special someone or even a treat for yourself, here are the new stores you should check out.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with the range of footwear at Comfort Sole (#02-46). Whether you’re looking for slip-ons, sneakers or track shoes for that new sporting hobby you’ve taken up, you’ll definitely find something here.

(From left): Purpur, Echo

Need a new outfit for those year-end parties? These two Singapore-founded brands might pique your interest. Echo (#01-41) combines high fashion designs with the finest fabrics to offer a contemporary and timeless collection tailored to Asian women. Purpur (#02-26) has a range of cute dresses, rompers and jumpsuits alongside tops and bottoms that you can mix and match for a fun look. And if your sister or bestie is an animal lover, don’t forget to check out the oh-so-adorable FURever Friends collection too.

And of course, you can’t forget the little (and not so little) kiddos in your life. If you’re looking for the perfect present for your favourite niece or nephew, or even a fun Secret Santa gift, then Peek A Box (#03-10) is a must-visit. A games haven for both the young and young at heart, you’ll find unique card games and fun table games that are great for all ages.

#2: There are new foodie options for you to refuel at

After all that shopping, it’s time to refuel. Whether it’s a quick pit-stop or somewhere to rest for your feet as you tuck into a hearty meal, we’ve got options for you.

For a quick bite, Auntie Anne’s (#B1-18) pretzels — each hand-rolled and freshly baked daily — are a delicious treat, anytime, anywhere. Plus, it’s now Halal-certified now too. In addition to the classic Original and Cinnamon Sugar, there are also unique to Singapore flavours like seaweed, matcha green tea, sour cream and onion and sesame seed.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, rrooll (#B1-18) offers soft, fluffy and addictive rolls topped with a swirl of rich buttery cinnamon for a decadent dessert. Choose from cinnamon classic, biscoff coffee, cinnamon apple, cocoa orange or hazelnut Rocher for an instant sugar fix, or garlic onion cheese or sweet cheese for a savoury snack.

To wash your snacks down, head over to Mr. Coconut (#02-33). Quench your thirst and boost your energy levels with a coconut juice, coconut shake or coconut latte (the perfect marriage of coconut and coffee). Now, that totally hits the spot.

Fill your tummies at Cedele (#01-43) with yummy sandwiches, pasta, salads and cakes. The quick-casual eatery uses natural and the freshest ingredients that nourish both your body and soul.

But if you’re with your family, then Sally’s (#01-25) might be for you. This casual dining concept by Neo Group is where you’ll find comforting local favourites, like Neo Garden’s Signature Curry Chicken, Fried Rice with Chicken Wings, Laksa and even traditional Hainanese Kopi & Toast.

Alternatively, you can satisfy your K-BBQ cravings at SEORAE (#02-36). A must-try is the galmaegisal, or pork skirt meat, which is the perfect combination of tenderness and juiciness. Fun fact: There’s only about 250g of this cut in a pig — it’s why this cut was often reserved for the royals. Other dishes you can tuck into include favourites like samgyetang (ginseng chicken), haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) and jjajangmyeon.

#3: Get a new look to usher in the festive season

You’ve got new outfit, all that’s left is to update your look and you’re ready for the festive season.

At the LA Barbershop (#04-16), guys are the stars. Choose from a range of grooming services, including premium haircuts, shaves and even head massage or ear cleaning. You’ll look spiffy and dapper in no time.

If a quick trim is all you need, Okinawa Hair Salon (#02-44) offers fuss-free $10 haircuts to get hair looking clean and neat.

#4: There are massage chairs, skincare products and more to be won at the festive draw

There’s joy in doing your Christmas shopping at Compass One because each time you spend, you stand a chance to win attractive prizes worth over $17,000. The mall is rewarding shoppers with a chance to win OSIM massage chairs, Yves Rocher skincare sets and more. All you need to do is spend a minimum of $30 at participating stores to stand a chance to bring one of these prizes home. T&Cs apply.

#5: There are also freebies you can redeem

Or spend a minimum of $150 and redeem a foldable umbrella (limited to the first 3,000 members). T&Cs apply.
