Beans And Beats? These Guys Are Taking The Coffee Experience To Another Level

Kopi-si might be more ubiquitous than a piccolo latte but the coffee culture tribe in Singapore has certainly expanded formidably over the last decade. So much so that independent coffee boutique, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, is now in its eighth collaboration with independent electronic music label, Darker Than Wax, for the Brew event series.

Music lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike of all ages, head over to Chye Seng Huat on Sep 23 for an evening of house, funk and soul beats along with a good cuppa or two. After eight editions, the night has started to attract even aunties and uncles living around the Jalan Besar neighbourhood, not put off by the musical choices of the Darker Than Wax team who have over 10mil plays on their Soundcloud profile and have received nods from heavyweights in the global electronic music scene such as former BBC Radio 1 DJ, Gilles Peterson.
