This 24-year-old five-room resale flat in Pasir Ris was in need of a revamp when a young married couple purchased it. The first-time home owners were planning to stay here for a long time, and forked out $65,000 for home renovations to give their 1,256sqft abode a complete makeover. The project kicked off last July, after circuit breaker measures were eased and home renovations could resume, and took two months to complete.

Interior designer Aitheng of Lemonfridge Studio, who helmed the project, tells 8Days.sg that the couple was going for a minimalist but cosy Scandinavian style. Because they love hosting dinners and gatherings at home, they needed the space to be conducive for entertaining.
