5 Festive Things To Do This Weekend (Dec 22 to 24)

1. Twilight Encounters 2017

Singapore’s wildest glow-in-the-dark event returns to Night Safari with four walking trails, geometric animal light sculptures and performances. Every walking trail has animal surprises along the way, and they offer great views and close encounters with the nocturnal animals.

2. Merry Fishmas (pictured above)

This Christmas, S.E.A Aquarium transforms into a water wonderland for the holiday season, and it’s christened Merry Fishmas. Highlights include crowd favourite Scuba Santa and Elves, a 3.2-metre ‘fishmas’ tree made out of over 300 plastic bottles, and the debut of one of the world’s rarest rays, the Ornate Eagle Ray, as well as new additions like the Argentine Humphead.

3. Jazzy Christmas: A Kaleidoscopic Christmas

Jazz veteran Jeremy Monteiro brings together a band of musicians to celebrate the festive season. Grammy-nominated crooner Steve Lippia, Sing! China finalist Joanna Dong and Bebop singer Tony Lakatos are among the electric performers that will bring Christmas cheer with a wide range of jazz styles.

4. Omni Theatre

Southeast Asia’s first 8K 3D digital dome theatre uses active 3D technology to provide an immersive experience. Catch Robots, a movie about the latest developments in robotics around the world, and Aurora: Lights of Wonder, an award-winning showcase of the stunning Aurora light show in Canada, as well as the science behind the phenomenon.
