Nature lovers, take note. Gardens by the Bay is hosting its first-ever Sunflower Surprise, a floral display featuring the largest variety of sunflowers in Singapore. The 50 varieties on display include over 16,000 sunflowers of all shapes, shades and sizes. More than half are of unusual varieties grown from seeds sourced from the US. One of them, aptly named the Russian Mammoth, is close to 4 metres tall! Joining the iconic flowers are characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz such as Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion. There are also guided tours that are free, although admission charges apply.

Uniqlo's Modest Travels
In the mood for theatre or travelling? How about both? Modest Travels is Uniqlo's first-ever travel-themed theatre play followed by a showcase of travel essentials. What's even better is that Modest Travels is co-created and directed by Crazy Rich Asians star Tan Kheng Hua. The play stars local actors dand musicians Inch Chua, Zee Wong, Timothy Wan, Sangeetha Dorai, Irfan Kasban, and Ali Khan, and will revolve around four Singaporeans exploring Morocco, Uzbekistan, India and Europe. It will be staged in beautiful colonial bungalows at Temenggong Road.
Gillman Barracks's Art After Dark x 6th Anniversary Celebrations
The hipster central is celebrating its 6th anniversary with its Art After Dark event on Sep 21. There will be precinct-wide art activities and programmes from 7pm till late. Outdoor installations by artists like Robert Zhao Renhui and the folks at NTU CCA Singapore will provide ample Instagram opps. There'll also be photo exhibitions and the third edition of Supermama’s Porcelain & Craft Festival featuring delicate craftworks and inventive designs.
