Pull no punches this weekend.
#1: Fight the crowds at the Night Festival
Lights will guide you to… the most Instagrammed part of Singapore this weekend. The 10th year of the Night Festival is filled with over 80 activities that’ll leave you spoilt for choice. Live music performances or food trucks? Artful ‘grammable installations or street party? It’s the final weekend of the festival, so you know, work those elbows and jostle with the throngs.
Aug 25 and 26, 7.30pm to 12am. For more info, go to www.nightfestival.sg.
#2: Catch the Foo Fighters
Fresh from rocking out with Rick Astley at Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo, Dave Grohl and co. are returning to our shores for the first time since they cancelled on us five years ago, albeit on the 48-year-old frontman’s doctor’s orders. Expect nothing less than a spectacular show. After all, we've waited Everlong for this.
Aug 26, National Stadium, 8pm. Tix from Sports Hub Tix.
#3: Watch the fight of the year...over Sunday brunch
The Conor McGregor vs Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather fight has been the talk of the town since, like, forever. So sit back, relax and watch the highly-anticipated fight over Sunday brunch (the fight happening in Las Vegas airs at 9am Singapore time). Fans of the notorious Irish UFC champ (main pic, right), will be delighted by McGettigan’s buffet breakfast spread (scrambled eggs, sausages, back bacon, hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms, hash brown and toast at $30++) that starts at 9.30am (doors open 9am). Those on Team American Undefeated Boxing Champ (main pic, left), pack some cash and slink over to Adrift by David Meyers’ brunch event, The Money Fight Brunch (no prizes for guessing whose side the American celeb chef is on). For $128++, you get an all-you-can-eat buffet brunch (top up $88++ for free flow booze, hic!).
Aug 27, 9am, at McGettigan’s Clarke Quay (https://www.facebook.com/mcgettigansclarkequay/) and Adrift by David Meyers (https://www.facebook.com/adriftdavidmyers/).
