Pencil in some fun this week.

3 Ways To Get Through The Week Ahead

Don’t let Sunday-somnia get the better of you. These perk-me-ups may help make that dreary work week a little better.

#1: Chase Monday blues away in a new yoga hideout.

The newly-launched The Yoga School is the perfect place to scurry away after work. The boutique yoga studio offers an ohm-so-zen time at one of its over 20 classes weekly, from cardio-centric Flow classes to unique ones such as Kundalini and Forrest yoga classes. Class sizes are capped at 20, so you know you’ll be able to perfect that warrior pose in no time — all while taking in the panoramic skyline views from the 1,606 sq ft elegant space perched 39 storeys high in the CBD.

The Yoga School is at #39-01 OCBC Centre, 65 Chulia St. For more info, go to http://yogaschool.asia.

#2: Buy Foo Fighters tix on Tuesday.

The Foo Fighters gig may be on Aug 26, but tix go on sale from May 23 at 10am via SportsHubTix. With recent Coldplay and Ed Sheeran concert tickets selling out before you can say "Fastest fingers first", we don’t blame you if you want to unleash the kiasu Singaporean in you this time. Standby at 9.50am at the computer, or join the queue at the Singapore Indoor Stadium box office or any SingPost outlet. After all, we’ve waited here for Foos, Everlong — the rockers were scheduled to play at the Padang five years ago, but cancelled after frontman Dave Grohl’s doc advised him to rest his voice. Other gigs on that tour were also scrapped.

Catch Foo Fighters on Aug 26 at the National Stadium, 8pm. For more info, go to www.sportshubtix.sg or call 3158-7888.

#3: Hang with Hello Kitty, Gudetama and co.

First, it was Pokemon and friends. Come May 26 (Fri), Hello Kitty, Gudetama and the rest of the Sanrio motley crew are set to take over Changi Airport Terminal 3. Kicking off the month-long festivities at the what’s been dubbed the Nordic Adventures (because the characters will don, er, Nordic winter costumes) is an opening ceremony on May 26, 7pm at the public area in T3’s departure hall on level 2 (near Skytrain Platform to Terminal 1), where Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Gudetama, and the Little Twin Stars will sing and dance their hearts out. Entry is free. There'll also be Sanrio exhibitions, meet-and-greet sessions and contests until June 26. If your kid’s not a fan of life-sized mascots, schlep over to the Nordic Snow Funhouse by Snow City (yes, in the airport; no, it's not the subzero air con temperatures in the terminal) for 30 minutes of fun on a snow luge, snow pit and igloo (one pass admits two, and can be obtained with $60 worth of purchases over a maximum of two days).

For more info, go to http://changiairport.com/nordicadventures.
