#1: Urban Ventures Street Party Vol. 9
Keong Saik Road will transform into a convivial carnival with music performances, DJ sets, drag queens duking it out in lip sync battles, an Artisans’ Market, and more. Or take the tempo down a little and stretch it out at street yoga sessions, express mani and pedicures, or Instagram up a storm at a space-age augmented reality photo booth at the party that’s into its ninth installation (see main pic).

#2: Singapore Design Week 2018
The fifth edition of Singapore design week by the DesignSingapore Council presents a selection of local and international design activities. Participants can experience the value of design through a series of activities and exhibitions. These include Out of Print, an exhibition of Singapore’s Literature scene; My Story, My Toy by the MINT Museum of Toys; and The Design Show 2018 held by Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design. The neighbourhoods of Holland Village and Tanjong Pagar will also come to life with music performances, creative workshops, and various pop-up events courtesy of two mini festivals.

#3: SingaPlural 2018
The design event organised by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council returns this year to celebrate the process of design and to showcase design elements. Visitors can look forward to interactive projects, experimental designs and structural exhibitions. Curated by award-winningdesign studio PRODUCE, which works on developing ideas through the designs of items, places and structures. Part of Singapore Design Week 2018.

#4: i Light Specials at ArtScience Museum
In support of i Light Marina Bay 2018, the ArtScience Museum has extended its operating hours and is treating visitors to events including live performances by singer-songwriter Leslie Low of The Observatory; film screenings featuring local street art and a new live graffiti battle. Snack on street food from FabCafe and be inspired by street art exhibitions.

#5: Holi — Colours of Spring 2018
Known as the festival of colours or the festival of love, Holi is a spring festival widely celebrated in many parts of India and South Asia. Experience a weekend of lively folk music and dance performances, and a free-for-all outdoor Let’s Play Holi! party at the Lawn.

#6: Easter Farmers Market at Loewen Gardens
This market offers a wonderful mix of organic fruits and vegetables, olive oil, and fresh honey as well as other goodies. Besides a trampoline, playground and face painting for the little ones, the entire family can take part in the free Easter Egg Hunt at 10am and noon as well.

#7: MAAD, Market of Artists and Designers
Organised by the Red Dot Design Museum since 2006, this is a grassroots initiative to promote local designers and artists by giving them a platform to showcase and sell their original works to the public. Original products being sold include jewellery, artwork, fashion, literature and home furnishings.

#8: IT Show 2018
One of the largest consumer electronic exhibitions in Singapore, offering up to three levels of great deals, such as tech gadgets, TVs, notebooks, tablets, desktops, gaming products and more.

#9: The Father
Winner of the Moliere award and nominee for best play at the Olivier and Tony Awards, The Father follows the story of an old man’s distressing fight with dementia and how it affects the people around him. Directed by Tracie Pang, the Pangdemonium production stars Lim Kay Siu, Tan Kheng Hua, Janice Koh and Keagan Kang. There will be strobe lighting used for this performance. Advisory: Some mature content.

#10: Disney on Ice Celebrates Everyone’s Story
Be charmed by a cast of over 50 Disney characters, with Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy and Disney Princesses including Cinderella and Tiana. Relive the magic of Disney’s Frozen with Anna, Elsa and the hilarious Olaf as they discover that true love is the greatest magic of all. #11: Singapore Festival of Fun
The festival for all ages returns this year with three pillars of fun comprising Magners International Comedy Festival, Nickelodeon Fiesta and Clarke Quay StreetFest. Catch acts from UK’s Covent Garden famed street theatre, well-loved characters from Nickelodeon and award-winning comedians from around the world. It features live street performances such as acrobats, escape artistes and stilt walkers, appearances by The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol and SpongeBob Square Pants, children’s games and a makan trail.

#12: Evita
Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Evita remains one of the world’s most beloved musicals — it has won more than 20 major awards. Helmed by legendary director Hal Prince, the original Broadway and West End production comes to Singapore, featuring songs like ‘Don’t Cry for Me Argentina’ and ‘Oh What a Circus’. Evita, which tells the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, promises to be an unforgettable experience for musical theatre fans.

#13: Duet with Power Station ‘20’ World Tour in Singapore
Taiwanese male rock duo Power Station is marking their 20th anniversary with a performance celebrating their greatest hits like ‘When’, ‘Impulse’ and the award-winning Chinese version of ‘Takie Tango’ by Bufra Suflera. There will be a special segment where Power Station will banter with the audience and take song requests.
