Enola Holmes 3 (Netflix, July 1)

I know what you’re thinking: There was an Enola Holmes 2? Yes, it came out four years ago — another lifetime ago. This time, the fourth wall-breaking sister (Milli Bobby Brown) of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavil, back for a quick pay check) is getting married! Congrats! But first, she must team up with Dr Watson (Himesh Patel) to rescue her kidnapped big brother.

Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97, Season 2 (Disney+, July 1)

The Emmy-nominated retro series continues with the X-Men (and Women) now scattered throughout time, from Ancient Egypt to the 40th century. In both periods, they fight against their most dangerous enemy: Oscar Isaac… I mean, Apocalypse. Meanwhile, back in the 1990s, with the core of the X-Men MIA, it’s up to Jubilee and Sunspot and other B-list mutants to step up to the plate. If you’ve just joined us, here’s a quick recap.

Human Vapor (Netflix, July 2)

Train to Busan creator Yeon Sang-ho teams up with Gannibal director Shinzo Katayama on this sci-fi series about a killer (Uta Uchida, or UTA to his fans) who can freely turn into gas (not unlike Johann Krauss aka The Ectoplasmic Gas Man in Hellboy: The Golden Army ). Good luck cuffing him. Shun Oguri plays the cop hot on his shapeless hide. The eight-part series is based on a 1960 film produced by Toho Studios. By the way,  I’ve also occasionally been called the Human Vapor…  especially after a spicy meal.

Silo, Season 3 (Apple TV, July 3)

Are you ready for some post-apocalyptic fun! Apple TV’s other sci-fi must-see — besides Severance, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and For All Mankind — unfolds in two timelines: one in the present, with Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) back in Silo 18 confronting yet another threat; and the other in the “Before Times” where a journalist (Jessica Henwick) and a congressman (Ashley Zukerman) uncovers a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.

The Husband (Disney+, July 4)

This 12-part K-drama stars Namkoong Min as a neurosurgeon and hospital director who becomes the No.1 suspect when his estranged wife (Lee Seol) is kidnapped — just a day after he asks for a divorce. Bad timing, brother. To clear his name, the good doctor (but lousy husband?) decides to go rescue her himself.
