Battle of Fates (Disney+, Feb 11)

This one-of-a-kind reality show pits 49 of South Korea’s 49 top fate readers — from different schools of clairvoyance — against one another to prove who’s the real deal. To advance, they simply have to make the most accurate prediction. The show drops in three stages: Feb 11 (first four eps), Feb 18 (eps 5-7), Feb 25 (ep 8-9), and Mar 4 (finale).

Predators: Badlands (Disney+, Feb 12)

Dan Trachtenberg’s third Predator movie — following the Comanche-led Prey and the animated Killer of Killers — flips the perspective and tells the story from the alien hunter’s POV. It follows an outcast Yautja warrior (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) seeking redemption by bringing home the head of an indestructible kaiju on a hostile planet, with a little help from Elle Fanning’s chatty, battle-damaged android.

Eddington (HBO Max, Feb 13)

Hereditary director Ari Aster’s Covid-inspired Western was raved at Cannes but totally ghosted come awards-season. That’s Hollywood for you. Joaquin Phoenix stars as a  sheriff whose escalating feud with the town’s mayor (Pedro Pascal) turns a small community into a war zone in the early days of the pandemic. Remember them?
