BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star
Now that the boys are all serving their NS, let’s relive the supergroup’s rise to fame and beyond in this eight-part docu-series. After that, make your way to the BTS pop-up store at Cineleisure and engage in some retail therapy. Two eps will drop every Wednesday.
Watch it on: Disney+, Wed
The Creator
Gareth Edwards’ mankind-vs-AI epic, starring John David Washington, feels like it's put together by an algorithm, a visually stunning but derivative distraction built from spare parts of other classics (from Terminator to The Matrix to even Edwards’ own Rogue One), with no self to refer to. In other words: it's an original cover version!

Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire
Zack Snyder’s latest intergalactic magnum opus stars Sofia Boutella as a mysterious young woman tasked with recruiting a small band of warriors — including Michiel Huisman, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins, Djimon Housou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair and E Duffy — to defend her hometown from a tyrant (Ed Skrein). It’s Seven Samurai in Space! Early reviews have been disastrous, most of them calling the movie a Star Wars rip-off. (Another original cover version?) Maybe the critics will be kinder and gentler with the director’s cut slated next year. (We heard that’s the version with more scenes of Lim Yubeng!) Part Two: The Scargiver is due in April 2024.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
The 1990s-set chapter, directed by Steven Caple Jr (Creed II) and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback introduces the Maximals into the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The best bit? The part where it teases a crossover with another Hasbro toy line. Watch our interview with the cast and director when they were in town in May.
