Get ready for an emotional ride down memory lane. HBO Max finally dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated special, Friends: The Reunion.

Just to be clear: The Reunion isn’t an episode of Friends, which ended its 10-season, 236-episode run in 2004 (streaming on Netflix). It’s simply an unscripted get-together where the six stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — reflect their time on the show.

Filmed on Stage 24 of the Warner Bros Studio — where the sitcom as filmed — the special also features a sit-down interview (in front of the famous fountain!) with James Corden asking them pressing questions (were Ross and Rachel really on a break?)

Judging from the trailer, the special (no word on its running time – some say it might be as long as 75 minutes, the same length as last year’s The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Reunion) will also feature a set tour, table-reads of fan-favourite scenes, as well as appearances from past guest stars Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon, Thomas Lennon, James Michael Tyler, and Maggie Wheeler.

Friends: The Reunion will premiere same time as the US on May 27 (Thur) on HBO Go, with a same-day broadcast on HBO (Singtel TV Ch 420, StarHub Ch 601) at 9pm.
