The doctor is in da house! Marvel Studios has officially dropped the teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The two-minute promo was first shown as the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. (In other words: if you are watching the No Way Home for the first time, you can hit the exit immediately after the mid-credits stinger.)

In Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) has to clean up the mess he made in No Way Home — opening the doors to alternate realities — with the help of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). If you're wondering where Wanda's been all this while, then you better catch the Disney+ series WandaVision as a primer.

Along the way, Strange and Wanda meet familiar faces (Benedict Wong as Wong; Chiwetel Ejiofor as ally-turned-foe Karl Mordo; and Rachel McAdams as Dr Christine Palmer) and a few monsters (including a tentacled, one-eyed ogre).

Ultimately, the Sorcerer Supreme discovers the greatest threat to the universe is … him. Or rather an evil, alternate version of Strange, who originally appeared in the animated Disney+ series What If...?.

Sam Raimi, the director of the Spider-Man trilogy in the noughties starring Tobey Maguire, is at the helm of Multiverse of Madness. He replaced original director Scott Derrickson who quit the production over creative differences.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in Singapore cinemas on May 5; WandaVision and What If…? are now streaming on Disney+.
