Trailer Watch: Al Pacino Teams Up With Jordan Peele To Kill Nazis In Hunters
It's based on true events.
Inspired by true events, Hunters follows a diverse group of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of high-ranking Nazis have escaped to the US where they’re plotting to create the Fourth Reich.
In the trailer, Pacino’s character Meyer Offerman, the person assembling the hunters, says “There comes a time where we all must choose between the light and the darkness. But when there is great darkness in this world, perhaps the choice is made for us.
“You know for aeons people like us have been degraded and exterminated but no more. There is evil among us, and you must remember this evil starts as but a spot inside of them. Then it grows to a stain then it becomes a scourge.
“We cannot know such evil until it strikes, so the time to strike is now before everything we hold dear to us is destroyed. This is not murder, this is mitzah. Welcome to the Hunt.”
Then The Rolling Stones’ ‘Street Fighting Man’ slowly fades up on the soundtrack and the trailer cuts to a montage of violence and explosions involving the titular vigilante squad (including Percy Jackson’s Logan Lerman and How I Met Your Mother’s Josh Radnor).
Doing good: (from left) Tiffany Boone, Sauk Rubinek, Carol Kane, Logan Lerman, Kate Mulvany, Josh Radnor, and Louis Ozawa Changchien prepare to go on a Nazi-hunting expedition.
Hunters is coming to Amazon Prime Video in 2020.
